Our Story

Born in Amsterdam.
Built in Delaware.

It started over 30 years ago in Amsterdam — a city of a hundred cultures and a hundred hair types. That's where Sinkor's founder built her craft, working across textures and backgrounds that most salons never see. She didn't just learn techniques. She learned how to see people.

That journey led across the Atlantic to Middletown, Delaware, where she built Sinkor Beauty Salon from the ground up. Not as a franchise. Not as a chain. As a personal mission — a space where every person, regardless of texture or background, belongs in the chair.

Today, Sinkor is a multicultural beauty destination — a full-service 8-chair salon, a clean-ingredient product line, and a beauty supply store all under one roof. We serve one of the most diverse client bases in Delaware, drawing clients from Bear, Townsend, New Castle, Dover, Newark, Wilmington, Elkton MD, and Smyrna.

What began as one woman's vision has grown into a community institution — and we're just getting started.
